Erik Hendrickson is an advisor with success in supporting cross-functional teams through complex legal, regulatory, and operational challenges. He represents motor carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics companies in matters involving regulatory compliance, contract review, and owner-operator arrangements. His practice includes advising on independent-contractor classification challenges and guiding clients through the complex requirements of the Federal Leasing Regulations. Erik also defends transportation and logistics businesses in a wide range of federal enforcement actions, including TSA air-cargo and cargo-screening investigations and FAA hazardous-materials and dangerous-goods matters.

In addition to his regulatory and compliance work, Erik is an experienced litigator. He has tried numerous cases, including multiple jury trials, and brings seasoned courtroom judgment to disputes affecting transportation clients. Erik joined Scopelitis after a distinguished career as a military officer and attorney. He served as a federal prosecutor and advised senior leaders across government logistics, contracting, and personnel law. His assignments included support to Operation Warp Speed, deployment with a route-clearance and security brigade in Afghanistan, and operational logistics support across multiple theaters of operation.Erik’s unique combination of federal litigation experience, transportation sector insight, and operational leadership enables him to provide clients with practical, mission-focused guidance in a fast-moving regulatory environment.
