Illinois’ Workplace Transparency Act Changes

Illinois has made major amendments to the Workplace Transparency Act that affect transportation providers operating in the state. These changes may require updates to employment-related agreements, such as separation, settlement, confidentiality, and arbitration documents. Agreements could now conflict with new rules on confidentiality, choice of law, collective bargaining or mutual aid communication, and participation rights in hearings. Overall, the updates expand compliance obligations for Illinois and multi-state fleets and increase the scope of unlawful employment practices liability.

A Scopelitis memo that offers an overview of these recent changes to the Illinois Workplace Transparency Act is available here.
