BOI Reporting Update: Enforcement and Deadlines
On February 27, 2025, FinCEN announced that it will not be issuing any fines, penalties, or taking any other enforcement actions against companies who fail to file or update their beneficial ownership information (BOI) reports under the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) by the current deadline of March 21, 2025.
FinCEN intends to issue an intern final rule by March 21 that will extend BOI reporting deadlines.
