James Ellman devotes his practice to litigating personal injury and wrongful death cases in the area of commercial transportation.  He is often involved shortly after the accident as part of the firm’s Rapid Response Team and handles the case through trial.

He has extensive trial experience and has tried over 40 jury trials and has represented clients as lead counsel in Illinois, Texas, Michigan, Wisconsin, Georgia, Michigan and California.  He has also acted as monitoring counsel for cases involving potential excess exposure and has been an arbitrator in the Circuit Court of Cook County.
