Andrew R. Brehm is a litigator in the firm’s commercial litigation, labor and employment, and class action and complex litigation practice concentrations. Brehm has extensive experience litigating matters in state and federal courts on behalf of clients in the transportation, recreation, health care, and restaurant industries. Additionally, he regularly counsels clients on labor and employment issues, transportation contracts, and independent contractor issues.

Brehm regularly represents clients in lawsuits across the nation on matters including:

  • Commercial disputes, including commercial contract litigation, non-compete disputes, and other business litigation
  • Labor and employment claims such as state or Federal claims of employment discrimination, wage and hour claims, and ERISA-related litigation
  • Class action and FLSA collective action defense litigation for clients involving claims of employment misclassification, FLSA overtime wage and minimum wage claims, and state wage law violations
  • Catastrophic injury claims against motor carriers as well as freight brokers and other transportation intermediaries

Brehm has been recognized by Wisconsin Super Lawyers as a top-rated attorney and Rising Star for his practice in business litigation, class action defense, employment litigation, and civil litigation. He is actively involved in various local and national bar associations and proudly provides pro bono legal work on behalf of indigent individuals in need of representation.

Before joining Scopelitis, he spent two years as a judicial clerk for The Honorable Rebecca F. Dallet and the Honorable Christopher R. Foley of the Milwaukee County Circuit Court. While in law school, Brehm’s note on private property rights in outer space was selected for publication by the Wisconsin International Law Journal, for which he served as the managing editor.
