William Brejcha focuses primarily on civil litigation, mainly representing for-hire and private motor carriers, brokers, and freight-forwarders in state and federal courts and in arbitration matters. Brejcha, a founder of the Scopelitis Chicago Office in 1998, has counseled transportation industry members for over 45 years.

Brejcha has been a regular contributor to and Editor of the Illinois State Bar Association’s Public Utilities and Transportation Law Section newsletter from 1992  to 2016 and was Chair of that Section in both 1995-96 and 2000-01. He has served as Transportation Counsel to the Illinois Transportation Association (ITA) and has been a regular columnist in the ITA’s Illinois Truck News magazine and the Transportation Intermediaries Association magazine Professional Broker. Mr. Brejcha is also a court-certified Mediator in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois. Mr. Brejcha has been named a Leading Lawyer in the field of Transportation Law by other practicing Chicago area attorneys.

Brejcha is also a retired U.S. Army Judge Advocate, having served for 21 years with the 101st Airborne Division and the 33rd Infantry Brigade of the Illinois Army National Guard.
